Speaking and Education

Want to bring more psychological knowledge and practical tools to your athletes or bodybuilding community?

Competitive bodybuilding involves far more than training, nutrition, and posing. Athletes can experience a range of mental and emotional experiences before, during, and after competing that coaches and others supporting them may not always feel equipped to address.

I offer presentations, workshops, webinars and guest expert sessions that bring practical psychological education into the bodybuilding space.

As a clinical psychologist with over 20 years’ experience and a competitive bodybuilder myself, I combine professional knowledge with firsthand understanding of the sport to deliver education that is practical, relatable and specific to bodybuilding. I’ve also been invited to discuss many of these topics on podcasts, which you can listen to here.

Topics can include:

  • Preparing mentally to compete
  • The mental side of contest prep
  • Food relationship challenges
  • Body image in bodybuilding
  • Life after the stage
  • Identity and self-worth
  • Comparison, perfectionism, and self-doubt
  • Juggling bodybuilding with the rest of your life

Sessions can be tailored to your athletes, coaches or community, or developed around a particular topic or challenge relevant to your audience.

For speaking inquiries, please email me at hello@thebodybuildingpsychologist.com with a little about your audience and the topics you’d like me to cover, and we’ll go from there.
